Good produce
shouldn’t go
to waste.
Fruitful Neighbourhood is a new local service helping neighbours share surplus homegrown fruit, vegetables and herbs for free, through swaps, or at a low cost.
🍋
Less waste.
Fuller fruit bowls.
Backyard gardens and trees often produce more than one household can use, while other families are looking for affordable fresh food. We’re building a simple, local way to connect the two—starting in Hamilton and nearby Waikato towns.

Built locally, with neighbours.
Fruitful Neighbourhood is an independent community initiative created by a small Hamilton-based team. Our combined backgrounds include horticulture, community psychology, anthropology and financial advice.
It began with a simple question: how can we stop good backyard produce going to waste while helping neighbours access fresh local food? The service is being shaped openly with early participants. Every suggestion is read, privacy and safety come first, and improvements will be shared with the community as the Hamilton pilot grows.
