What we collect
For early access, produce listings and area-interest registrations, we collect your name if supplied, email address, town, suburb or local area, how you would like to take part, and produce availability details where relevant. For a collection request, we collect the collector’s first name, email, New Zealand mobile number, requested amount, preferred collection time and optional message.
Public pilot listings
Hamilton is the only active pilot. Produce details, approximate amount, availability, offer type, collection preference and suburb may be displayed publicly only after review and approval. Names, email addresses, phone numbers and exact addresses are not displayed in public listings. Area-interest registrations outside Hamilton never create public produce listings.
Private collection connections
A collector’s contact details remain hidden while a request is pending. If a sharer explicitly approves a request, the collector receives the sharer’s listing email and private collection instructions, and the sharer receives the collector’s email and mobile number. Private request links use long random codes, are not publicly indexed and expire after 30 days. Anyone with a valid private link may view the information released through that link, so it must not be forwarded or posted publicly.
Feedback and testimonials
After a collection, we may collect an approximate weight, ratings and optional feedback from both parties. Feedback remains private unless the participant separately chooses the anonymous testimonial checkbox. Consented feedback enters a private owner review queue before it may be published. Published testimonials do not include names, contact details or exact locations.
Area expansion interest
We use town, suburb and sharing or collecting interest to measure whether an area may support the service. Registration does not promise a launch date. Private demand totals may be reviewed against planning thresholds, but no map or exact location is published.
Why we collect it
We use this information to operate and improve the Hamilton pilot, match collection requests safely, communicate about a request, measure community impact, assess genuine area demand, send relevant updates and respond to safety concerns.
Who receives it
Fruitful Neighbourhood does not sell your information. Contact information is shared between a collector and sharer only after the sharer’s explicit approval. We may also disclose information when required by law or needed to protect someone’s safety. Service providers may process information on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep pilot records only while needed to operate, evaluate and protect the service, then delete or anonymise them. Expired private links stop providing access, although underlying records may be retained for safety, dispute handling and aggregated pilot reporting.
Your choices and rights
You may cancel a pending collection request through its private status page. You may ask us to pause or remove a listing, withdraw testimonial permission, remove an area-interest registration, or access, correct or delete your information by emailing privacy@fruitfulneighbourhood.co.nz.
